Giraffe at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo

Whipsnade Zoo, located in Bedfordshire, is one of the largest wildlife conservation parks in Europe. One of the highlights at Whipsnade is its giraffe enclosure, which allows visitors to get an up-close view via elevated viewing platforms. Whipsnade’s conservation efforts aim to raise awareness about the challenges these animals face in the wild.

I worked with the team at ZSL and conservation groups in Africa to design and implement a series of family-friendly interpretation around the enclosure. Starting with a bold identity inspired by visual culture of the locales where Giraffes originate from, this was rolled across across various panels, interactives and large format graphics.

Katie was a real pleasure to work with on the Giraffe exhibit refresh at Whipsnade Zoo. She was communicative, understood and responded well to the brief, gave clear time frames and stuck to them, contributed creative and constructive ideas, produced some lovely illustrations, and was just generally a lovely fun person to work with! I’d definitely work with her again.
