Warrington 2021 – City of Culture

In 2017 Warrington campaigned to become the 2021 UK City of Culture. I worked with the bid team from Warrington Borough Council to create a strong, recognisable brand to be used on advertising collateral to give the town the opportunity to shine and show the world what they are made of. Inspiration was taken from Warrington’s historical steel and wire industry to create the ‘W’ logomark and associated iconography. These were then used across a brand new website which was the portal for people to not only find out more about the bid but helped them get involved.
